meet the contestants

Season 6 Contestants

Jenna
Hi, I'm Jenna and I blog over at 2027! I'm a twenty-something college grad still trying to find my place in the world, but I'm most happy when being creative! I'm a nanny by trade, but a crafter by heart. Why buy something if I can do it myself?

Amy

Hello new friends! My name is Amy Renea and I live in Hershey PA with my husband, 3 little boys, a cat named Thor and 4 hens. I spend my days chasing babies, spray painting cast offs I find in the trash, cleaning far too much poop between the critters and children and am a professional wedding photographer on the weekends. In my free time I hit up local thrift stores, watch too many episodes of the Bachelorette and blog while drinking DDP and chowing on sweet potato chips!
A Nest for All Seasons is the modern dilettante's one stop for all things DIY in the home and garden. Artful photography highlights simple tutorials and simplifies the mysteries among more complex techniques of gardening, crafting, cooking and photography. I hope you will stop in and stay awhile!
Michelle
Hello! My name is Michelle and I am a crafting genius! Just joking, but I sure do love to make things. Sometimes they are great, sometimes they are good, and sometimes they are just okay. Anyway, I enjoy every minute of it! My blog is Prudently Painted Vintage, it's a place where I can share it all with you.

Shannah
I'm Shannah and write a (very!) little ole blog called Just Us Four. When I'm not working away at my full time job, I spend my time parenting, cooking and, just recently, crafting. I'm relatively new to the whole crafting excitement but I have dove head first since day one. I'm really excited to be a part of One Month to Win It and look forward to an exciting competition.

Ginger
Hi! I'm Ginger from Ginger Snap Crafts. This me with my 2 beautiful daughters. I also have a handsome hubby & 3 rough & tumble boys! I recently started my own craft blog when I realized our family blog was getting a little overrun with all my craftiness! My blog is a place where I share my ideas and then hopefully inspire YOU to create along with me!

Courtney
Hi, I'm Courtney from Between U & Me over here in Southern California. I'm an obsessive crafter, cook, novice sewer and occasional DIYer. I am also a wife (married 5 years) and a mom to two kiddos (ages 4 and 2). I have an unhealthy extremely healthy addiction to anything with glitter and I'm not embarrassed to say my kids have left for school glitterified and heck! my husband has gone to work that way, too! Oh!, and I'm SO excited to be part of this season of OMTWI!!! Yay!!

Jenni
Hello everybuggy, Jenni here from Kissed By A Frog; a brand new blog that is basically put together with a kitchen mixer (a little of everything). I am a self taught crafter that hates to read directions and enjoys a challenge. About a year ago, (after "retiring" from teaching to stay home with my children) I decided that I needed a way to express my creative side; thus Kissed By a Frog was born. The main purpose of the FROG is to make everyone feel like royalty because we all deserve it! I cannot tell you how excited I am to be on OMTWI and I am ready to craft your socks off.

Kim

Hi! My name is Kim and my blog is Simply Living, I have a passion for creating things! After going to school for Interior Design I got married and had a little boy so now he takes up all my time in between crafting! Being on a tight budget has given me a love of thrifting and turning "junk" into something new. I'm super excited to be a part of OMTWI and can't wait to see everyone's projects!

Molly
Hey, I’m Molly from Just a Little Creativity. I’m a busy mom of five, who has found my creative outlet by running an Etsy shop, MyArtsyBaby and more recently diving into the wonderful world of blogging. Thinking outside the box, making the ordinary extraordinary, that is my goal. Over at my blog, among fun product and book reviews and giveaways, you’ll find my true passion. Painting and DIY projects for grown-ups and kids that anyone can do. I believe you shouldn’t have to be an expert to be a DIY junkie. I should have titled my blog something more like “You Can Paint Anything” but that just didn’t have quite the same ring to it.

Jaime
Hello ---it is SO nice to be here and to "meet" you!!!
And I also have to say that it is SO so so exciting and a little scary to be part of this wonderful competition! I am just a normal gal who loves to decorate and create but has a tight budget!
I love LOVE meaningful crafts, up-cycing anything and everything anddd I swoon for anything inexpensively made yet lovely!
Crafty Scrappy Happy is my blogging "home" where I share all of my latest projects and inspiration!

Stephanie
Photobucket
Hello! I'm Stephanie and the mom behind the blog "Always Just A Mom" and the crafter behind Goodies By Greiner! I have a love for creating and like to dabble in a lot of different areas! On my blog I talk alot about being a mom to two rowdy boys (they are 3 and 4...13 1/2 months apart) but more and more I've loved using the blog as a way to share fun recipes, crafts and other projects. This is my first crafting competition and I'm super excited to be a member of Season 6!

Kate

Hi! I'm Kate from A Piece of Kate's. I am a mother of 2 girls (the youngest just started kindergarten) and have been married for 10 years. I love to sew and craft things into something better. I also like to read, play volleyball, garage sale, and help other people. I am excited to be part of this season of OMTWI!

Here are the crafters for Season 5 in no particular order!

Hi I'm Teresa and I blog over at Crafting in My Closet!  I Love to Sew, Bake and cook. I also really like bead work (although with a 2 year old intricate bead work isn't really a possibility), I've been trying to learn to crochet for a few years, but I don't really have the patience for it =)
I've been married for 7 years and we have a 2 year old daughter and are expecting another one on 2/2/12!
I also have an Etsy shop were I sell lots of little girly things. I'm so excited to be a part of OMTWI I've been a fan since the first season!

Hi everyone I'm Susan. I'm the mother of 4 girls, I've been married to my husband Jim for 20 years and in my spare time a teacher.
I've always been creative, I especially enjoy decorating with repurposed and architectural materials. I like to sew, make jewelry and work on craft projects.
I love working on my blog, homeroad,(http://www.homeroad.net/) it gives me a great opportunity to share what I enjoy. My passion is turning junky finds into spectacular works of art!

It all started with Barbie -- at six years old I was creating clothes for her using scotch tape, toilet paper and grocery bags (back when it was all brown bags). Propped up record albums and wrapping paper made an ideal home for her and Ken. Now, years later, with a husband, 9 kids, homeschool, my etsy shop and The Pennington Point to keep up with, I take my crafting needs out on my family. My poor husband of 25 years tells the kids, "Don't sit still too long or your mother will wrap you in burlap and hot glue something to your head!" I'd like to argue with him, but I can't....it worked with Barbie.

Hi! My name is Maggie and I write a little blog called Midwestern {Sewing} Girl... there I keep a permanent record of all of my creative endeavors...interspersed with little tidbits of family stuff.  I went to college to become a biologist and find myself all these years later a stay-at-home mom to 3 super-awesome crazy-cool kids and wife to the most practical, logical, supportive, hard-working, outstanding husband a girl could hope to have. I'm thankful every day that I am lucky enough to be doing what I love to do.  AND, I'm so excited to be part of this season on OMTWI! Yay!

Hi ! My name is Lauren and my blog is West Furniture Revival. I have a passion for creating, refinishing, painting and thrifting. I love to put my own spin on something old to bring out its beauty through restoration.  I am very happy to be part of OMTWI and hopefully I'll make it to the finish line!

I am Tone from Bless, by Tone. I am a full-time working, single mother of twin girls. I love to be creative. Being creative is my "time out" - it's where I get my energy and a lot of my joy. I love to sew, crochet and work with wood. Most of all I love spending time with my girls. I hope my blog will be a place crafty people look to for ideas and tutorials. I will do my best here at OMTW

Hey y'all, I'm Camille from Creative Pursuits. After changing careers and becoming a paralegal in a large law firm, I needed a creative outlet, so I started sewing in earnest when my daughter was born almost three years ago. I live in Atlanta, GA in a tiny condo with my husband, daughter and our first child Farley, a boxer. Our dining room table is usually overtaken by my sewing machines and crafts, but I'm okay with that.

My friends and family call me Dee and I am the La-Dee-Da crafter. My motto in life and crafting is, "Just keep ruffling." It is also a way of saying, "roll with the punches." My blog home is La-Dee-Da Creations and I love to craft on a budget and to be budget friendly. I love the challenge of spending the least amount of money I can, repurposing materials to make new creations and all with the goal of  creating a one of a kind creation. I craft in a La-Dee-Da way which means in a relaxed, carefree way and always doing it my way.

I am a wife to a Navy Commander, a mom to 4 great kids and also to my La-Dee-Da doggie.

Hello!  My name is Amy and I blog over at Our Dish.  You'll find my self-taught sewing and other goofball projects mixed in with just about anything else I find entertaining at the moment!  I also love to shop, stay up late (yawn), soak in the tub, and eat sugary treats.  I am mom to 3 kids (all boys!) so I desperately use crafting to keep my love of all things girly alive and kicking.

Hi, I'm Terri and I have a craft blog called A Creative Princess. I've been a crafter all my life, but fairly new to this wonderful blogging world of ours. I'm having so much fun and loving every minute of it! I married my high school sweetheart and best friend. He just smiles at me when I say, "Don't throw that away, I can make something with it!" or "I've been thinking....". We have 3 beautiful children and 5 awesome grandchildren.

My name is Ralitsa. I'm born and live in Bulgaria. I started to make decoration and jewels out of paper as a joke and just for fun. Five years ago I can't and I don't want to stop crafting.
I've created the blog HiHaHo's stall to share my projects and tutorials, and to participate in Challenges on the net. So, here I am.
Wish you a lot of inspiration and happy crafting to everybody!http://westfurniturerevival.blogspot.com/

I love cooking (eating), knitting, keeping my house in a constant state of construction, and learning how not to kill plants. Feel free to visit my little corner of the world anytime!

I'm new to 'blog land' and am excited to share creative and personal inspiration through my blog, "My Wonderfully Made".   I'm encouraged and cheered on in each of MY many endeavors by my fantastically handsome husband of 27 years, Matt and my three adult kids (which includes twin daughters, Sarah and Megan and a soon-to-be married son, Aaron).  And did I say I'm excited to be participating in One Month To Win It?!

My name is Heather and I blog at A Couple of Craft Addicts. My crafting started in middle school at a local bead shop but didn’t start again until I turned into a stay at home mom.  Luckily my sassy little girl shares a deep love for glitter with me.  I don’t have just one favorite – I love painting, sewing, borrowing my husband’s power tools, hot glue gunning, cooking, planning parties, kids crafts, and whatever else I find interesting.  I am so excited to be part of OMTWI!

My name is Tori of Apostrophy Designs. I love
creating things, diet Dr. Pepper, 80's music, and visiting fabric stores. I love my husband,
my Bergalicious, and baby on the way (due Oct), more than anything. I also have a cute little etsy shop.

Hello!  My name is June and I am from Creations by June!  I love to create with whatever medium I have handy.... paper, fabric, paint, wood...  My favorite thing to do is to refinish, re-purpose and re-use what I can!  I have two great boys.. 22 and 17 and a crazy, strange dog that keeps me a wondering what is going on! The perfect day?  creating, caffeine, chocolate and lots of laughter!

I'm Kimberly, the "me" over at bugaboo, mini, mr & me.
I'm just an amateur crafter, sewer, scrapper, refurbisher, cook,
baker, snapshotter and professional mommy who's in love with the creative process!
My blog is a chronicle of mistakes. I consider myself proof positive that you don't have
to have the latest and greatest equipment and gadgets to cook, sew and craft - and you
don't have to be a pro to love what you do!

Hi, I’m Angela from Better Together. My sisters and I just recently created our blog in an effort to learn from one another. One sister covers cooking and couponing, another sister instructs us on exercise and nutrition, and I handle the crafting/sewing side of the blog. Hunt2.JPG1 A little about me… I am a recently-retired middle school teacher. Now I am loving my life as a mom to the smiliest/coolest 13 month old that I know (not that I’m biased ;) I love my husband, I love my son, and I love my sewing machine- just about equally.

Aloha! I'm Charlie (pink, not blue), and I started my blog, Attempting Aloha, a few months ago after purchasing a serious fixer-upper on the fantabulous island of Oahu. My husband is in residency and pretty much has zero time to help, so I'm breaking out the sledge hammer and power tools and learning to "git 'er done" all by my lonesome. Three girls under age 6 add to the chaos and to the bliss. I call myself a chronic crafter and DIY'er, but I'm learning to kick back a little and live the aloha life. ;)

Paige with Pink Lemonade

Kristi from The Speckled Dog

I'm Kristi from The Speckled Dog.  I'm a Southern gal with a love for the old-timey.  I love making over thrift store finds by giving them a new look with a fresh coat of paint and I love abusing them with sandpaper even more.  When I'm not covered in paint splatters, you might find me tangled up in yarn as I try to knit my way through my sizable yarn stash.

I'm Emily from Domestic Deadline and fairly new to blogging.  I have an imaginary blog following of several million adoring fans who wait with baited breath to see what I will do next.  At any given moment my house is in perfect shambles, welcoming those drop in guests to climb over the piles of things I should be taking care of instead of crafting.  The thought of adding to a land fill causes heart palpitations, so I self medicate by hanging on to anything I think could possibly be turned into something else.  My unpaid domestic days are dwindling as my youngest child grows but until then, I'll attempt to use crafts and sarcasm to entertain myself and hopefully a few others!

I am a stay at home mom of two that loves sewing and crafting. I have a fabric obsession and love finding new ways to fuel my obsession. Most of all I love creating handmade items that are special and one of a kind.  I blog at A Couple of Craft Addicts.
